I just received a nice letter from the Director of the Happy Trails Foundation. The foundation supports an abused children’s home with donations derived from NRA and gun owners.

Just received an email copy of the Summer 2014 Bullet from Smiley Ed. The color and all the photos are terrific! Thank you for a job well done. I appreciate your coverage of the FRIENDS OF HAPPY TRAILS BANQUET and the High Desert Shooting Fun Fair. Keep up the good work!
Happy Trails,
Dutch

…And here’s another from my California Writers Club – High Desert Branch President Dwight Norris:

Rusty,
Magnificent issue! It’s amazing how you consistently make that (newsletter) happen!

Ghostwriting —

Anthony Pasqualetti was only 80 years of age when he set his sights on writing a book about his colorful life, a life that lead him through the battlefields of World War II, many close calls in the States, and health issues that forced him to draw courage from the depths of his will to live. It was an honor to ghost for him. Published in 2005, you can check out his autobiography at:  http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=Born+to+Survive%2C+Will+to+Live

“It was a pleasure to work with Barbara. She understood how I wanted my thoughts on paper. I was glad to share my life with my family and friends.” — Tony

New Book Authors —

New book authors break into publishing with a manuscript that can propell them into stardom or plummet them into languishing edits and poor reviews. It all depends on how prepared they were when the pre-press jitters took over.

Are you publishing “your little darling” on a shoestring budget? Then get it professonally proofed and editied to meet the high demands of your readers. Just because you self-publish is no reason to shortcut the process. Readers love books without errors and will gladly promote your book by word-of-mouth if it meets their approval.

Acquistion editors, who prowl the Internet for unknown authors with a great book and a following of buyers, are eager to tap into a new source. If your book is missing the pazzazz of a professional cover, they can fix that. However, if your book is woefully bogged down in typos and unclear sentences or a plot that is difficult to follow, they’ll pass you by.

Take pride in your professional book offering by making it as outstanding as you can.

Four Wheeler Magazine

When you’re a 4×4 enthusiast, writing for international off-road audiences comes easy. I had several articles published with a photo series. The largest article was a 6-page spread about the Victor Valley 4-Wheelers hosting an off-road trip with members of a local museum society on the historic Mojave Road. Editors  as well as the favorite: “Getting There” travel articles. After 18 years on rough trails, I settled down.

Bumper-To-Bumper — Special Section

The word got out that I was an avid off-road traveller and a writer. I soon was  invited to be a Guest Editor for a Summer 4×4 driving series inside The Sun newspaper in San Bernardino, CA. It was a pull-out section and got good reviews.
